This is a beautiful Japanese porcelain Imari Kutani covered bowl. All hand painted , no transfer on this beauty. There is a lot of intricate geometric detailing. The dish or bowl measures 10” dia x 3 ¼ to rim deep and 5 1/8” with lid. No markings but certainly shows great quality. Decorated with blue, red, green and brown colors. The sides are decorated with chrysanthemums and cherry blossoms. The lid is decorated with a Phoenix, pine trees and cherry blossoms. The bowl has a large repaired crack. When tapped it rings like a gong there is also a chip on the inner rim.
