Feast your eyes on this outstanding sterling mounted brilliant cut glass plate. Shreve & Company of San Francisco took a brilliant cut plate created by one of the finest American cut glass artists, Hawkes Glass Co. of Corning, NY, and added the elegant silver mount rim. The American Brilliant period was from 1880 to 1914. The plate has the Hawke’s Glass tri-foil mark in the very center of the plate. It measures 11 1/2" diameter and is in excellent condition. The initial “C” is elegantly engraved into the mount. What a superb combination, Shreve’s sterling and Hawkes cut glass!
